Park and Camp Site near Keswick Cumbria in the North Lakes. A
family run site with modern facilities in a quiet location midst
the heart of Lakeland, paramount in Lake District
camping. From your pitch, you will get spectacular
panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Please click on the
links. Blencathra, Skiddaw, Latrigg, Helvellyn, and Helvellyn range including Clough Head. We are within easy reach of Scafell Pike and Catbells and many more mountain and fells. From
within 3 miles are the near-by Lakes, waters, meres, and tarns of
Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite, Thirlmere, Rydal, Ullswater, and Windermere. "Tewet tarn" is practically on our doorstep. The
majestic Lakeland scenery of Thrilkeld, Keswick, Bassenthwaite, Braithwaite, and Borrowdale within 5 miles
It's just 1 mile walk to the nearest eating places in the
delightful Village of Threlkeld. There are 3 pubs which serve food and a golf course
and cricket
field both with club houses. Threlkeld has a Quarry & Mining
Museum just a nice walk from the site.
We are approximately 3 miles to the pretty market Town of
Keswick with a good array of restaurants and pubs. (Local Taxis) There are lots of walks from the
site and a bus
service too. Penrith to Threlkeld and on to Keswick. The
Caldbeck Rambler via Castlerigg stone circle, from Keswick will
stop at Burns Farm
We are located in the beautiful glacial valley of St. John's-in-the-Vale about 1/2
a mile from the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle. The site is surrounded
by an open bowl of hills, just right for relaxing and de-stressing
in the idyllic setting, 'or' if you are more adventurous, we are
ideally situated for walking, water sports, fishing, rock climbing,
cycling, pony riding, golf, paragliding, and all the other
attractions in the North Lakes.
