1. At junction 40 on the M6 at Penrith, exit onto A66
2. Follow signs for Keswick on the A66.
3. Contimue to follow A66 for approximately 15 miles
4. Turn left (signed Castlerigg Stone Circle and Burns Farm)
5. Follow the road for about 1/2 mile
6. Park on Road be-side Farm buildings
7. Call to Reception on the right at the Farm House to Book-In

Scenic route:

1. Head North on M6
2. At junction 36, exit onto A590 towards Barrow/Kendal/A591
3. Continue onto A591 (signs for Windermere/A591/Kendal/A6)
4. Turn left at A591/Wansfell Rd
5. Turn right at A591/Rothay Rd
6. Turn left at A591/Compston Rd
7. Continue to follow A591
8. Turn right at B5322 (signs for St Johns-in-the-Vale)
9. Turn Left
10. Turn right
11. Burns Farm Reception at Farm House on the Right

Best drive:
The scenic A591 which stretches 21 miles between Windermere and Keswick takes in no less than six lakes - Windermere, Rydal, Grasmere, Thirlmere, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake. It also includes some of the most impressive mountain scenery in the world including Dunmail Raise, the glacial valley of St John's In the Vale and the lower slopes of Helvellyn.
